Lambert Edelmann is CEO of BioVentures Consulting LLC, where he is responsible for Intellectual Property and business development practices. Edelmann completed his Ph.D. at Yale in neuroscience, and has worked in business development functions at Massachusetts General Hospital and Novartis. At Massachusetts General Hospital, he managed the Departments of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Research and Neurology on technology patenting and commercialization, and industry sponsorships. In this role, he drafted and negotiated business agreements e.g. licenses with Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device companies. While at Novartis, Edelmann identified and evaluated new R&D opportunities in the areas of neurobiology, oncology, and diagnostics, built alliances with universities and translational research centers and drafted and negotiated business agreements. Edelmann’s expertise is in agreement writing and negotiation, patent management, patent and technology due diligence, and biomedical and clinical research.
